Nesta sexta-feira (27) a Chapecoense recebeu a visita do ‘Menino Anjo’ Johan Alexis Ramírez. O jovem, de apenas 15 anos, auxiliou as equipes de resgate, indicando o caminho até o acidente com o avião da Chape. Importante no resgate das vítimas, Johan conheceu a Arena Condá, ganhou de presente duas camisas da Chape, um boné e também um réplica da medalha da Copa Sul Americana de 2016.

O jovem foi recebido pelo presidente da Chapecoense, Plínio David De Nes Filho, o vice presidente, Ivan Tozzo, o presidente do Conselho Deliberativo, Gilson Vivian, o presidente do Conselho Fiscal, Aldo Bortolanza e o prefeito de Chapecó, Luciano Buligon. Além deles, os sobreviventes Neto e Rafael Henzel também estiveram presentes.

O jovem está em Chapecó junto com o Coral Camerata Vocal Medellín, que vai participar do Festival internacional de Corais Centenário Chapecó e Gracias Hermanos Colombianos, que acontece entre os dias 27 e 29 de outubro.

According to reports by Gazzetta dello Sport (via SportWitness), Tottenham are looking at Dušan Vlahović alternatives, leading to the monitoring of Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca.

The Lowdown: Spurs need goals

Ever since Fabio Paratici arrived in London, Spurs have been linked with a move for Fiorentina’s Vlahović. The 21-year-old striker is in fantastic form this season, having scored 15 goals in 17 Serie A appearances, making him the league’s top goalscorer. Fabrizio Romano has claimed that it will take a bid of £59.5m to lure the youngster away from the Italian side.

These links emerged after Manchester City offered £125m for Harry Kane in the summer. Spurs of course rejected this offer, but retrospectively this seems like a hasty decision. Kane has struggled this campaign, having scored just one goal in 13 Premier League appearances.

At 29-years-old, the Englishman is in the prime years of his career. If Tottenham did decide to sell the striker, they may never receive an offer anywhere near this previous sum, and perhaps that is why they are searching for cheaper alternatives to Vlahović.

The Latest: Spurs monitoring Scamacca

According to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport (via SportWitness), Tottenham remain extremely interested in the signing of Vlahović.

However, the newspaper claim that Sassuolo’s Scamacca is currently being monitored by a couple of major English teams, and is deemed ‘popular’ in the Premier League.

Tottenham are allegedly one of the teams interested in the player, especially if Kane parts ways with the Lilywhites in 2022.

The Verdict: Sound alternative?

Vlahović is also on Manchester City’s radar, as Pep Guardiola remains without a proper striker. If the Premier League winners decide to not go in for Kane in the summer, it is expected that they will pursue the Serbia international, and perhaps that will take the decision out of Paratici’s hands.

However, Scamacca could prove to be a good alternative. Despite scoring just five goals in 17 appearances this season, the youngster has shown enough potential for Davide Ballardini, one of his managers at Genoa, to liken the 22-year-old to a young Christian Vieri.

The 6 foot 5 Scamacca is described by Whoscored as strong in the air and someone who ‘likes to tackle’, so perhaps he could be the perfect man to spearhead Antonio Conte’s new look Tottenham, performing the sort of role that Romelu Lukaku did for the manager last season at Inter.

The battle lines between Cricket NSW and the SCG Trust have again been drawn, with Blues chief executive Dave Gilbert suggesting Sydney’s next Ashes Test could be staged at ANZ Stadium, the main venue for the 2000 Olympics. Cricket NSW and the Trust were involved in a similar stand-off five years ago during negotiations over the existing tenancy agreement, and Gilbert has again flagged the possibility of moving cricket from its traditional home at the SCG to the 80,000 capacity stadium in Homebush.The last agreement, signed in 2004, expires at the end of 2010, creating an air of uncertainty over where the New Year’s Test of 2011 against England will be staged. The very notion that major international fixtures could be relocated from the SCG will dismay the cricketing purists of Sydney, but Gilbert said he would keep all options open when negotiations with the Trust begin next year.”ANZ is focused on getting a major cricket match to its venue,” Gilbert said. “I know Test cricket will be a difficult one to do at this stage – and you have to weigh up tradition and history and the drama at the SCG – but when I was a kid growing up at the SCG, rugby league Test matches and union Test matches were only ever at the SCG. Not anymore.”If you’re a 15-year-old kid, you’ve only ever known big sport events to be played at ANZ Stadium – that’s not meant to be an inflammatory comment, it’s a fact. If you take the heat and emotion out of it, as CEO of Cricket NSW, I have to do what is best for cricket to generate revenue to keep this game going, and this is what this process is about.”This is what our negotiations will be about the next few months. It has to be recognised SCG and ANZ Stadium run a ground and we run a sport, we need each other and it’s about working out the best deal moving forward.”Simon Katich, the Australian opener and NSW captain, said it would be a “huge surprise” if the decision was made to break with tradition and relocate Test cricket from the SCG to the larger-capacity ANZ Stadium. NSW have staged 20- and 50-over matches at the Olympic venue for several seasons, but as yet no internationals have been played there.”We’ve played a lot of one-day cricket out at ANZ Stadium,” Katich said. “The game is always developing and changing, who knows where it could head now with where we play, but it would be a shock if we moved from the SCG.”I think the only issue might be that the wicket at ANZ is a drop-in wicket and people are always worried about losing the characteristics of all the five different [Ashes Test] venues in Australia,” he added. “That would be an issue, but in terms of attendances out there, we obviously get great crowds for the Blues and being a big stadium, who knows what a Test match could draw out there?”A spokesman for ANZ Stadium said the venue’s primary focus was to attract ODI and Twenty20 international cricket, but would not rule out a bid to poach Test matches from the SCG.

Ireland have lost batsmen Ed Joyce and Eoin Morgan to England in recent years, and Deutrom has warned that Rankin’s following course would be a major loss to their cricket.Rankin, who switched from Derbyshire to Warwickshire, was named in a pool of 41 players who will train in Florida, Loughborough and Chennai over the next few months. “In terms of Boyd’s personal development, it is obviously terrific for him to have access to the sort of programmes that the ECB can provide,” Deutrom told the Daily Express. “But for us it is a worrying development that he has obviously figured on the England radar. It is, of course, a source of pride that we continue to produce cricketers that England are interested in but, if we were to lose another player to follow Ed and Eoin, it would be a severe blow to Irish cricket.”Ireland stand to lose Rankin for their Intercontinental Cup match and one-dayers against Afghanistan in early 2010, because he is slated to fly to the MRF Pace Academy in Chennai in January to train under Dennis Lillee for ten days at the same time. “I am still keen to play for Ireland as much as I can but I can’t play Test cricket for Ireland and I have to do what I can to get that opening,” Rankin told the . “The idea of this camp, I understand, is to build up strength, to be fitter and stronger. Boyd would be the standout quick in terms of his physical stature and the feedback we’ve had is that he has got a lot of potential. Bowlers who hit the deck hard at a high end pace are really proven to be match winners. If we can identify people like that we are on the right track.”

As the 17-year-old continues his development, this injury will come as a setback at the wrong time given that the Europa Conference League is a perfect opportunity for more minutes.

Scarlett has started two of their Group G games so far and, if he weren’t sidelined, Conte may well have handed him the nod again tonight against a Mura side who are bottom of the group with zero points.

Lauded as a ‘diamond’ by former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, it is no secret that the teenager is a young talent who’s exciting many at Tottenham.
