6,5
Léo
Bom jogo do contestado camisa 15.

CRUZEIRO
5,5
Fábio
Foi pouco exigido. Foi deslocado no pênalti e não comprometeu.

5,0
Lucas Romero

7,0
Thiago Neves
Infernizou a defesa, deu assistência e acertou chute na trave.

4,5
Élber
Foi bem abaixo do companheiro e saiu substituído. Jogou mal.

7,0

5,5
Mano Menezes
Poderia ter ousado mais. Pareceu satisfeito com empate.

Man City fans fume over pre-Chelsea news

Flocking to Twitter, many Manchester City fans have voiced their outrage at some official news before the Sky Blues’ highly-anticipated top of the table clash against Chelsea this weekend.

After comfortably dispatching Wycombe Wanderers 6-1 in the Carabao Cup midweek, a match where many previously unseen youngsters were handed their debuts by Pep Guardiola, Saturday will come as a very contrasting occasion.

City’s dropped points away to Spurs and at home to Southampton already this season puts plenty of emphasis on their trip to Stamford Bridge, with the Premier League champions arguably unable to afford another loss so early in their title defence.

As such, the stage is set for their next match to be an all-important blockbuster – leaving little wonder why some supporters take issue in regards to who will officiate the clash.

It has now been announced that referee Michael Oliver will take charge of the Chelsea game in what is a battle of the English and European title-winners – with City aiming to exact revenge after their Champions League final heartbreak.

Oliver, who has branded 12 yellow cards and one red card in just four matches so far this season, also has a habit of reaching into his pocket during City matches in particular.

As per worldfootball.net, the 36-year-old has dished out 41 bookings in 33 Premier League matches overseeing the Citizens – with it looking like Guardiola’s side may have to be extra wary of their discipline in west London.

Resultingly, supporters have raged as this pre-Chelsea announcement is made – find all of their verdicts on the refereeing appointment down below.

Kane could now sign new deal at Spurs

Harry Kane could now be open to extending his contract with Tottenham Hotspur, with fresh talks expected with Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy.

The Lowdown: Kane stays put over summer

Tottenham’s all-time goalscorer Kane was linked with a move away from the club over the summer, with Manchester City seeming the suitors for his signature, but a move never happened and he has returned to action for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

After scoring 23 goals and assisting a further 14 goals last season, Kane led England to the final of the European Championships before delaying his return to training at Spurs.

However, the striker confirmed his desire to remain at the club and news has now emerged about his future at Spurs.

The Latest: Fresh talks looming

According to EuroSport, Kane could still sign a new contract at Tottenham despite having his desire to leave the club in the summer.

The article also states that Kane, who was tipped to beat every goal record in the book by former manager Jose Mourninho, rejected a fresh deal days after the striker lost to Italy in the final of the national competition, but avenues are now open for fresh terms to be discussed between club chiefs and the striker.

A deal would only be agreed if Levy welcomes the idea of inserting a release clause however, meaning Paratici and the divisive Spurs chairman may have some serious negotiating to do.

The Verdict: Long way to go

With Kane remaining at the club and Heung-Min Son extending his stay at the club, things are truly looking up for Spurs in terms of keeping their star men.

The striker, who was described as ‘unbelievable’ by Jack Grealish recently, has scored 223 goals in 340 appearances for Tottenham, a remarkable record, and he will be hoping Levy will consider his history in mind when concluding a deal.

Whilst the deal may mean a pay rise for Kane, Paratici’s thinking of keeping hold of Kane for this season and maybe the following is vital if they are to return to the top six of the Premier League.

Wolves transfer update on Madueke

Lots of Wolves fans have been left reacting on social media as a transfer update emerged on Noni Madueke.

As per Sky Sports, the PSV ace is attracting interest from the Midlands club, as well as both Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City.

However, he has a current valuation of between £30-34m, which may prove to be too expensive.

Madueke scored no fewer than nine goals and supplied a further eight assists in 32 matches in total over all competitions in the 2020/21 season, which is very impressive considering that he often operated on the wing (Transfermarkt).

Dubbed a ‘very explosive’ player by former PSV midfielder Tommie van de Leegte, he could certainly add a new dimension to Bruno Lage’s attack, but they may now have to sell a few players first in order to be able to afford him.

Wolves fans on Madueke transfer update

These members of the Molineux faithful gave their reactions as the transfer update was shared on Twitter, and while they were generally excited by the link, some feel as if it would be unrealistic to sign him:

Saints eye Madueke

According to The Daily Express, Southampton are interested in signing PSV winger Noni Madueke this summer.

The Lowdown: Saints in gear

After a slow start to the summer transfer window, the Saints have finally got themselves into gear and are starting to shape their squad.

They have now brought in five new faces (Sky Sports), the latest being Adam Armstrong from Blackburn (southamptonfc.com), and with just under three weeks left of the window, there may be time for even more.

The Latest: Saints eye Madueke

As per this latest report, Southampton are looking at Madueke, while Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund are also in the race.

However, the Eredivisie outfit are adamant they will not sell the 19-year-old after already parting ways with Donyell Malen, who moved to Dortmund (bvb.de).

The Verdict: Up-and-coming talent

Despite being an England U21 international, Madueke has actually never made a professional appearance in his home country, instead taking the decision to move to the Netherlands at a young age.

It is a move that has so far paid off – he has managed 13 goals and nine assists in 41 appearances, and has already bagged four goals in five matches this season (Transfermarkt).

Valued at £14.4m (Transfermarkt), it is not clear exactly how much the winger would cost, but he is a player full of talent. Compared to Dutch legend Arjen Robben (footviz.com), Madueke has the world at his feet – could his next step be a move to Southampton?

In other news, Southampton fans are livid at this Jannik Vestergaard news.
